BiosEusebie was born in Bucuresti, Romania and he began playing tennis at the age of 8. It wasn’t long before his talent and passion for the game began paying off, gaining him top 10 rankings in juniors and men in Romania. Eusebie came to the United States to attend Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. He played singles and doubles for the Aggies and earned his degree in Physical Education. Eusebie taught and coached for three summers at the Tokeneke Club in Darien. He is a certified member of the United States Professional Tennis Registry (USPTR) and a certified physical trainer, having earned his certification from fitness trainer Pat Etchberry. A huge soccer (football) fan, Eusebie’s favorite team is Inter Milan.
Peter joins
us from Shippan Racquet Club.
Torgrimson’s experience includes success as a player in high school and college
and plenty of teaching experience as a USPTA certified tennis professional. He
was the state high school singles champion in Minnesota in 2002. Torgrimson
first played collegiate tennis from 2002-2004 at Assumption College in
Worcester, MA. He returned to his home state to play at the Division I level as
a Golden Gopher for the University of Minnesota from 2004-05. After graduating
from college in 2007, he played professionally and held a world ranking. Peter
has taught tennis at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, RI, the
Peninsula Racquet Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, the Surprise Tennis and
Racquet Complex in Phoenix, AZ, and most recently at the Greenwich Country Club.
He has worked with players of all ages and ability levels at several
competitive junior programs across the country.
Peter’s tennis philosophy is that the more fun a player has on the court,
the better they will play and the more they will learn.
Olivia
comes to us from Shippan Racquet Club & Oak Hills in Norwalk. She offers
instruction for players of all ages and abilities. Olivia’s tennis career began
at Shippan Racquet Club at 4 years old. She played in area tournaments and
attended Westhill High School before moving to the Chris Evert Tennis Academy in
Boca Raton, FL. She played in International Tennis Federation Tournaments
throughout the world, and then moved on to play Division I tennis at the
University of South Alabama. Her doubles team reached the NCAA semifinals.
Olivia enjoys giving back to the game that she loves. Part of her love for the
game stems from her mother, Barbara, the club manager at Shippan, King’s Highway
in Darien and Oak Hills. She looks forward to working with familiar faces at LRC
and some new ones, as well!
